Spain’s Soccer Federation President Under Fire for World Cup Sexual Harassment Comments

Luis Rubiales, the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), has come under fire for making light of sexual harassment at a press conference following Spain’s elimination from the 2022 World Cup.

During the press conference, Rubiales was asked about the allegations of sexual harassment made against former Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) president Angel Maria Villar. Villar was arrested in 2017 and charged with sexual harassment, embezzlement, and corruption. He was later released on bail.
